Planning Guide

How to Choose a Bathroom Vanity

  1. Measure the space

Measure the wall width and note where the plumbing, outlets, window and door swing are. Leave room in front so drawers and doors open fully.

  2. Choose single or double

A double vanity usually needs a wall of about 60 inches or more. On a narrower wall, one sink with more counter space often works better.

  3. Plan the storage

Drawers keep small items organized, doors fit tall bottles and cleaning supplies, and a tall cabinet beside the vanity adds storage without using more floor space.

  4. Pick the finishes together

Choose the vanity color, countertop and hardware as a set. Compare granite, quartz and laminate countertops and hardware and organizers in the same visit.

  5. See it in person

Colors look different on a screen. Compare door samples under real light before you decide.

Questions

Bathroom Vanity FAQs

What size bathroom vanity do I need?

Start with the width of the wall and where your plumbing is, and leave room for the door, the toilet and drawers to open. Small bathrooms often take a vanity around 24 to 36 inches wide, while double vanities usually need 60 inches or more. Bring your measurements to our showroom and our design team will help you choose.

Should I choose a single or double vanity?

A double vanity works well when two people share the bathroom and the wall is wide enough. If space is tight, a single vanity gives you more counter space and storage around one sink.

Can I see vanity styles in person before I buy?

Yes. Visit our showroom at 221 Frelinghuysen Ave, Newark to compare door styles, colors and finishes and plan your bathroom with our design team. Walk-ins are welcome Monday to Friday 8:30 to 5:00 and Saturday 9:30 to 2:00.

Do you install bathroom vanities?

No, we don't offer installation. We help you choose your vanity and deliver it curbside, so plan to have your own contractor or plumber install it.

How do I get an estimate for a bathroom vanity?

Visit the showroom for an immediate estimate, call 973-732-4850, or send a request through our quote form and we'll contact you the same business day.
